Bluebird Chalet is spacious three-level Swiss-style ski chalet perched on Bryce Mountain within a short (450 ft) walk to the Red Eye ski slope. Ski or bike down to the lodge, then take the lift to ski or bike home! This chalet is loaded with windows and sliding glass doors that showcase private views of the trees and mountains. Prefer to relax outside? Pick your spot on one of the chalet's four decks and front brick patio! Access this chalet's main entry door from the middle driveway for no steps! Three separate driveways accommodate up to five vehicles. While this chalet is super-convenient to Bryce Resort's outdoor activities and amenities, you might want to stay home! When venturing out, the chalet's central location makes for an easy drive to nearby amenities: < 1 mile to the Resort lodge and 2.3 miles to Smiley's Ice Cream, Burn Barrel tavern, Pale Fire Brewing, RHouse Wine & Cafe, and the Community Store.

It’s a perfect location for families and groups that desire the rare combination of luxury, privacy, and convenience.
FEATURES & AMENITIES:
Enter Bluebird Chalet through the veranda below the brick patio. The home's recreation and leisure level welcomes you with a brick wood-burning fireplace, comfy furniture, large Smart TV, full-size pool table, full size air hockey table, and a sauna. A side deck beyond the pool table invites quiet conversations over chilled libations. A half bathroom in the entry foyer is convenient to all activities. Also on this level: a bedroom suite with king bed, en suite full bathroom, a sitting/reading room, and private access to the lower back deck. Close the suite's doors to create your own sanctuary. The lower deck on this level remains dry when raining and features a full size hot tub, ceiling fan, rope lights, and lounge furniture. (The hot tub is professionally serviced between every guest reservation.) Even rainy days can be fun on this deck! Access the fire pit area and the upper deck from the lower deck via the side stairs. Firewood for the fireplace and fire pit is located under the side deck and is available year round.
Head upstairs to the main level to find a spacious living room with another brick fireplace (inoperable - please use lower level fireplace only), towering A-frame ceilings, a wall of windows, ample comfy furniture (including a queen sleeper sofa), and another large Smart TV. The galley kitchen offers modern appliances, a wine fridge, basic cookware, cook tools, dinnerware, and a basket-style coffee maker (filters provided, but please bring your favorite grind). Access the front brick patio via the kitchen - enjoy morning coffee at the cafe-style table while watching the sun rise and listening to the birds sing! The dining area seats ten at a farm-style table, which is framed by two large sliding glass doors that access the upper deck. This deck has two chaise loungers, two tables and chairs with seating for ten total (one with umbrella), and a gas grill. Access the lower deck and fire pit area from this deck via the side stairs. The main floor also includes a hallway full bathroom, a laundry room off the bathroom, one bedroom with queen bed and en suite full bathroom, and another bedroom with a queen bed.
One more flight up reveals the loft-suite bedroom with king bed, full bathroom, a remote-work area including desk and chair, a quiet reading/lounging area overlooking the main living room and a private treetop-level deck with a view of Great North Mountain.
Bluebird Chalet accommodates 10 luxuriously.
We supply this property with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, two dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one bath trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, two kitchen dish towels, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad. We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store.
The Smart TVs allow guests to log into popular streaming apps, and 100+mbps WiFi internet is sufficient for working, streaming and gaming on multiple devices.

This is a Self-Check-In property. You'll receive check-in instructions seven days prior to arrival (or immediately if booking within seven days) that include the property's address, driving directions, your unique Key Code, and other important information.
This property has a propane gas grill, a fire pit and an outdoor hot tub.
Firewood is stocked and stacked beneath the side deck in front of the third (lowest) driveway.
Guests cannot access the Bryce Resort pool (Bryce Landing), which is for Bryce Resort member use only. However, guests have unlimited access to the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool at our reception office (2565 Orkney Grade). See pictures of the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool in the unit listing -- it’s open 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Quiet hours after 10:00 pm are strongly enforced by the local security and police.
MOUNTAIN & VALLEY FUN:
Bryce Resort offers many activities and features throughout the year, including snow skiing/boarding, snow tubing, golf, Lake Laura swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, paddle boating, and kayaking, and a thrill-filled lift-accessed mountain bike park. Bryce Resort is also the perfect launch point for many other adventures in the northern Shenandoah Valley, including hiking, fishing, hot air ballooning, visiting wineries & breweries, exploring caverns, antiquing, enjoying the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival on summer Saturdays in nearby Orkney Springs, and so much more.
