Absolute High was about as perfect a cabin as I have ever rented! The location is wonderful ~~easy access to areas we like to visit. The furnishings are beautiful & comfortable! The rockers on the deck to enjoy the amazing views were the absolute best!! This was one of the best stocked kitchens we have seen! When we had a minor issue maintenance was there promptly & fixed the issue & was very friendly! The staff were very helpful & friendly when reserving & on check in & out day! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! We will be back!

Lovely cabin with gorgeous views while still surprising close to West Jefferson. Well outfitted place. Maybe my only minor critique is that the basement media room relies on heating and cooling to come from upstairs, so in early April at night it was pretty cool down there. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Very clean impressive cabin with all the creature comforts of home. Comfy beds, lots of extra blankets, pillows and all the kitchen supplies you will need.

Main bedroom is on first floor, upstairs is 2 more bedrooms and downstairs in basement has den, laundry and fooseball. My 7 yo granddaughter loved that!

The only negatives is the fridge could use updating as it froze our milk and food, and the water pressure in shower is very low. Other than that it was perfect. The gas fireplace was easy to turn on with a switch and worked great. The homey touches were appreciated.

We're frequent renters of mountain houses and this was one of the best cabins we've ever stayed in. Not only are the views terrific, but the owners have thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and at home. We spent Thanksgiving weekend at this cabin and it's incredibly well-stocked - it had everything we needed to do lots of cooking in the kitchen! The cabin is cozy and it was spotlessly clean. Both of the TVs were great sizes and the Rokus connected to both were a huge plus for streaming, not to mention the convenience of having cable too. All of the furniture was very comfortable and we loved the big porches with rocking chairs. The mountain views from this house and the neighboring street are some of the best views we've seen in the High Country. The management company was also great and made our stay easy. We are definitely planning to rent this cabin again!

There are a few things like kitchen utensils that were not there. i brought some things from home. Overall we love the cabin. It is only 5 minutes downhill to West Jefferson. We love the view from the porch and the view when walking. The only problem when walking is back uphill. It really gives good exercise. We have the cabin again in August and can't wait to come back. We had a blast at Absolute High Cabin. The view is amazing and the town of West Jefferson is great. Breweries and great stores and downtown is worth walking around and exploring. We did expect a real hot tub as described in VRBO but there was just a big bath with jets that I guess they call a hot tub. But if you rent cabins like we do a hot tub is an actual hot tub with hot water around 103 to 110 degrees out on the porch so you can enjoy the view while in a hot bath. It was my wife’s birthday and she had an amazing weekend but a hot tub would have made it perfect.

This home does not offer a hot tub and there is even a disclaimer that states the home offers an indoor jacuzzi tub and not an outdoor hot tub. We ended up staying only one night due to freezing rain that occurred during the night. We made it down the mountain to ski the next morning but did not dare head back up to stay the second night. The view was amazing, the cabin was cute and the staff answered a call a night to help light the gas logs.

We absolutely LOVED our weekend at this cozy cabin. It was clean, excellent condition and the decor was perfect for a cozy getaway. As it was just the two of us, we only used the main floor but would be a great cabin to bring our 3 teens as there are two more bedrooms and a nice finished basement/media room which they would love. We ate all but one meal in and the kitchen was well equipped for my personal 'hubby' chef. We had no problem finding the cabin, roads are well-marked as are the directions from the property company. We hiked nearby Mt Jefferson and spent the afternoon having lunch and exploring downtown West Jefferson. I only wish we were staying through Sunday so we could have hunkered down in front of the fireplace (which worked perfectly) and enjoyed the several inches of snow we awoke to on Sunday morning. A truck came through in the morning so we were able to follow the tracks down the mountain in our all wheel drive. To address a prior reviewer, we had no issue with the driveway either - in perfect shape. Lastly the property company was wonderful, even checking on Sunday to make sure we got out ok. Will definitely rent this home again... we love the whole area.

Excellent views from a cozy cabin. Good for our family of five adults. Met our expectations and then some. It was decorated for the Christmas season with lights on the railings and little touches inside. Its year round colors are red and green so it was perfect. Good wifi. So close to town it was easy to go in for a meal or shopping.

We had trouble with the keypad lock when we arrived but had good service on getting it fixed.

Our only disappointment—Slightly uncomfortable mattresses. Could use better mattress pads perhaps.

The accommodations were comfortable and functional. The view was breathtaking. Definitely worth the visit! Driveway is a little tricky and washed on the upper end. Individuals with limited mobility will be limited to main floor as steps to lower and upper levels are narrow and slick. Walk in shower and beautiful deck on main level.

Our stay at Absoulte High was wonderful. Our family made so many amazing memories there. The cabin was comfortable and clean. My kids enjoyed the game table and TV down stairs and it was nice they had somewhere to watch TV without hearing cartoons. The Keurig didn't work but they had a different coffee machine. The only thing I wished and needed when cooking was slotted spoons as the wooden one they had just didn't work well and some food storage containers would have been nice as we cooked everyday. We would love to stay in this cabin again. This was our 2nd time renting through Carolina Mt Properties and we will never use a different rental for our mountain vacations. We loved sitting outside watching the deer, bunnies, fireflies and chilly temperatures for June.

A breath of fresh air literally! This home was perfect for our family - 2 adults, 2 small kids and 1 fur baby. The view here is absolutely amazing! The house is decorated very nicely, was cozy, clean, and just a great stay! We were doing things around the Boone/Blowing Rock area, but fell in love also with West Jefferson. The drive to Boone/Blowing Rock took a little longer because of road construction, but normally wouldn't be a bad drive at all! A great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

The experience was wonderful. The home is beautiful and well equipped. The only note I would change is that the home is at least a 40 minute drive Boone. It was expressed by more than 3 people when asking how far the drive is from Boone that is was 20 minutes. It was not and we had to make many trips back and forth. So that was very frustrating.

From the moment we drove up, this home was so welcoming. It beckoned relaxation. We cooked our meals there, and experienced our excursions around being at home. Loved the grill on the deck, and was well used:) Maybe, it is just me, and the fact that we have never rented a home for a vaca before. But, this home is truly special. THe views are breathtaking and spectacular. We got to watch storms roll in, and evaporation re-uptake into the clouds, and fire again! The boys loved it! We will be back!!!
