The views are beautiful and amazing! Feels like you are on top of the world. The road is not for the faint of heart, as it is very steep. We did not have any issues, as we had 4WD. The home does have the so called reverse floorplan, as the main living is on the 2nd floor, which makes the views even better! Only 1 bedroom is on this floor, so keep this in mind when traveling with family members. The pros do outweigh the few cons we had...being, the Keurig worked intermittently (even though there is a traditional drip maker, we did not bring coffee for it), it would be fabulous to have a covering over the top transom windows in the master bedroom, as the sun does shine in your eyes while lying in the bed and lastly, there were tons of spider webs in the windows...especially bad in the master bedroom. They have been there a while, we could tell. Other than that, we would definitely stay again. Lastly, it was wonderful to be able to bring our furbabies...they are our only kids and we are very appreciative to the folks who allow us to enjoy vacation with them.

The driveway is steep but a portion of it is paved for this reason. We do hope you will stay with us again.

Amazing experience, the views were incredible, the house was well maintained and very spacious. Secluded spot which was nice, and everything was well kept and totally stocked. Our primary issue was one of the determining factors for our trip was the theatre room (it was a pretty big differentiator between this and other homes). Upon arriving, we couldn't find the projector (that actually made the room usable) and upon calling were told that it was broken and nothing to be done. That felt pretty disappointing as there was no mention of that issue upon booking, and for it to be just cast aside as no big deal when it is billed as a pretty prominent feature of the house was unfortunate. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend, but would suggest calling to ensure everything is functional before committing.

It was a beautiful home and amazing views.
But the Theater Room was not working, and we wanted to watch the UNC vs Duke game on the big screen.
But everything else was awesome.

It is high up in mountain so last 1 mile of drive is a bit tricky but once you are at the place, you would not want to leave! It is a perfect place to watch sunrise with your coffee! Will definitely be going back

The pictures on VRBO truly do not do the home justice! The home has been fully renovated and the furniture is all brand new. Three stories full of amazing views!!! The home sits atop a mountain overlooking a beautiful mountain range and valley below. We had a hard time leaving to go explore as the home has a movie theater, pool table, poker table, hiking trail and a various assortment of board games.

House was wonderful. It was very clean, had the items we needed and the view is spectacular. Communication and information provided was great. The only issue was some delays with Hot Water heater but not a big issue just may want to check and make sure all is working as expected.

Everything was great with a couple minor complaints. Fire pit doesn’t appear to be cleaned out regularly, if ever, so it was full of the remnants from previous renters that basically just created a bunch of uninviting smoke. All the pool sticks except for the two smaller ones were missing their tips which made it quite difficult to play pool.

Certainly not nearly enough to discourage a return trip. This was my 4th trip to the property and will be back again.

We had a great stay. The views were great, tons of room in the house for everyone to have their own space. The bathrooms were amazing. Kitchen was fully stocked. The movie theater was so nice and had a lot of movies (the movies were older movies so if you want new movies bring your own). We also were told we most likely wouldn’t have cell phone service but we had 3 bars with att! When we got there it was still being cleaned even though it was almost 4pm, we later found dirty towels still hanging up and candy wrapper in the theater.

What a wonderful relaxing cabin on top of the mountain. Very private and great place to stay. We were there a week and can’t wait to go back again! Our second time staying there and won’t be the last! The movie room is AMAZING! The views are worth a million bucks.
