This was a long awaited girls weekend opportunity at my favorite “neighborhood” in West Jefferson. It is most definitely worth the drive up the mountain. The cabin is well appointed, Easy to find and has great views.

Overall experience was very good. A couple of suggestions. The directions to the house very confusing. Would be better to have the turn into the development, then first right, and then follow the yellow line in the road all the way up to Pinnacle Point. Directions gave too many twists and turns - try following the yellow line in center of the road.
When we arrived, the lot was really overgrown. The problem was the driveway on the left hand side of the drive drops off and it was hard to see the drop off the first time.
Otherwise, house very clean, comfortable and enjoyable. We would rent again.

This is the first vacation we have ever taken that we did not leave the cabin from the time we got there until we left. So relaxing and the view with it snowing was awesome. Only negative there was no grill and most of the food we took we had planned to grill.

The cabin description was spot-on regarding the location, layout, amenities.
The view in the morning from the porch with our coffee was amazing and only got better in the evening watching the sunset from the hot tub with a glass of wine.
The property was clean well maintained and had great customer service when needed.
The only issue was finding this place at night and not really a fire pit, it’s a Chiminea.
I highly recommend this cabin and will be back.

Escape from the heat

We had a nice stay at Pinnacle Point. The house is situation high up in Big Tree with cool air, great views, and awesome sunsets. This is a new rental, so a few things are still needed to round it out. The chiminea is a joke and there needs to be a proper fire pit somewhere, especially since there's only a gas fireplace inside (rather than wood-burning). The bed in the master bedroom is extremely loud and squeaky. The door to the screened porch needs work - there are big gaps to let bugs in and the screen was hanging loose so I had to put the piping back in to hold the screen in place. All fairly minor complaints really. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house is nicely decorated and comfortable. It was a nice surprise to make the short walk to the top of the hill for ~360 degree views! I definitely recommend Pinnacle Point, and it'll only be better once the hot tub is in place!

We loved staying at this cabin. It's very clean and cozy, and has a lot of amenities - kitchen stuff, electronics, games, etc. - pretty much everything you need. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch, it's very peaceful and has great views. It was also very convenient to get to both Boone and West Jefferson. Would definitely recommend staying here!
