Gillford Cabin, a private and lovely two-bedroom Log Home with two bathrooms, is located along a small stream within the gates of Riverbend in Lake Lure.

The large wrap-around deck with covered porch provides the perfect relaxed environment for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The covered part of the deck is furnished with rockers, while the other side has a table and chairs, an umbrella, a gas barbecue, and is furnished with rockers. The kids will enjoy playing in the creek as you relax on the deck. The sound of water will delight you. The living room, with cathedral ceilings and a flat-screen TV with satellite television, is located on the main level of the cabin. Just off the living area is the dining area and a beautiful, fully-equipped kitchen. On this level, you will also find the master bedroom and master bathroom with a tub/shower combo & double sink vanity. On the main floor, you will also find a powder room and a half-bath.

The upper level of the cabin is home to a guest bedroom with a king-sized bed, a guest bathroom with a combination tub/shower, a double vanity, and a reading nook.

"Riverbend" at Lake Lure is a gated private community with two private lakes, Big Mirror Lake and Little Mirror Lake, that allow canoes and kayaks (no motorized boat except electric), private access the Broad River, as well as picnic areas, gazebos and pavilions, hiking paths, beach area, fishing and BBQ grills. There is an "Old Swimming Hole", along the river, and a lovely Nature Walk with picnic areas and the community waterfall.

You'll find everything you need in this community, which is only 6 miles away from downtown Lake Lure.

AREA WIDE NOTE: Lake Lure is undergoing a drawdown beginning January 1, 2024 and lasting through the first quarter (March 31, 2024). The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot per a day until it reaches 12 feet. During this time, infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dam projects will be accelerated. These efforts by the town of Lake Lure could affect the access to the lake or restrict any lake use. Click here for more information. The lake is expected to return to normal levels in mid-late April. We understand that this is an inconvenience but it allows you to enjoy Lake Lure's full beauty during the holiday season and fall. This will not affect smaller lakes in the region, only Lake Lure. All of our vacation rentals are smoke-free. Parking for three vehicles. Check-in is at 4:00 pm local time, or any time after. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. local or earlier.

For larger groups (up to 10 total guests), consider renting GILLFORD COTTAGE. It is located next door to GILLFORD Cabin, and has room for 4 more guests.
