Gillford Cottage, a two-bedroom, 2-bathroom log cabin, is located in a wooded setting along a creek within the Riverbend community at Lake Lure.

The cabin has a screened porch, with a table and chairs for outdoor dining. It also features a gas grill. And... it overlooks the Broad River Creek. The sound and sight of the water is enchanting!

You will enter a great room that includes a fully-equipped kitchen, a dish washer, a dining table with seating for six and a comfortable living room with a flat-screen TV & gas fireplace.

The Master Bedroom features a king-sized bed, a flat-screen television and a full Master Bath that includes a tub/shower combination. The guest bedroom has a Queen-size bed and a smaller flat screen TV. The guest bathroom is a full bath that also includes a tub/shower combination.

"Riverbend" at Lake Lure is a gated private community that offers two private lakes, Big Mirror Lake and Little Mirror Lake, with canoes and kayaks. There are also hiking trails, gazebos and pavilions. The beach area has swimming, fishing and BBQ grills. There is an "Old Swimming Hole", along the river, and a lovely Nature Walk. You can picnic and enjoy a community waterfall.

You're only six miles from downtown Lake Lure, and Chimney rock Village, where you can enjoy beautiful sights and a variety of dining and shopping options.

AREA WIDE NOTE: Lake Lure is undergoing a drawdown beginning January 1, 2024 and lasting through the first quarter (March 31, 2024). The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot per a day until it reaches 12 feet. During this time, infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dam projects will be accelerated. These efforts by the town of Lake Lure could affect the access to the lake or restrict any lake use. Click here for more information. The lake is expected to return to normal levels in mid-late April. We understand that this is an inconvenience but it allows you to enjoy Lake Lure's full beauty during the holiday season and fall. This will not affect smaller lakes in the region, only Lake Lure.

No pets, no exceptions

All of our vacation rentals are smoke-free. Parking 3 vehicles. Check-in is at 4:00 pm local time, or any time after. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. local or earlier.

For larger groups (up to 10 total guests), consider renting GILLFORD Cabin, which is next door to GILLFORD Cottage, with room for six additional guests.
