Moondance is an idyllic cabin located in a wooded area, off the main road, on almost 4 acres of land with a creek. The cabin has a new hot tub, plenty of outdoor space, a wraparound porch with covered and uncovered spaces, a gas barbecue, and outdoor seating. The main floor has a spacious living room with high ceilings and a stone fireplace with gas-lit logs. There are also two bedrooms with king-size beds, both with full bathrooms. The lower level offers two additional bedrooms. One has two twin-size bed, and the second has a bunk with a twin on top and a full below. There is also a full bathroom in the hallway with a combination of a bathtub and shower. The lower level has a two-car garage. This home is pet friendly and allows two dogs. There is also a small fence area for fresh air off-leash!

Moondance is located just 15 minutes away from downtown Rutherfordton, and 25 minutes away from Lake Lure. This makes it a great location for many local activities and attractions.

Moondance is a perfect vacation home in every season. Enjoy the snowy weather and cozy cabins in the winter. The beautiful stone fireplaces will keep you warm and cozy. Summer is the best time to visit, when the weather will be perfect. You can enjoy the beautiful sunsets and the summer breezes from the porch overlook. This mountain home will make for a wonderful weekend getaway or vacation with your family, no matter what the season.

AREA WIDE NOTE: Lake Lure is undergoing a drawdown beginning January 1, 2024 and lasting through the first quarter (March 31, 2024). The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot a day until it reaches 12 feet. During this time, infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dam projects will be accelerated. These efforts by the town of Lake Lure could affect the access to the lake or restrict any lake use. Click here for more information. The lake is expected to return to normal levels in mid-late April. We understand that this is an inconvenience but it allows you to enjoy Lake Lure's full beauty during the holiday season and fall. This will not affect smaller lakes in the region, only Lake Lure.

All of our vacation rentals are smoke-free.

Two dogs are allowed for free. To avoid additional charges, guests must clean up any pet waste.

Parking for 3-4 vehicles.

Check-in is at 4:00 pm local time, or any time after. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. local or earlier.
