A new home is being built on the next-door property as of July 15th. This will not affect everyone due to work schedules. However, some renters will be affected.

There is a good reason why people return to this vacation home again and again.

River Rest is the perfect description of this pet-friendly getaway! This inviting home is part of the Riverbend community at Lake Lure, but it's located outside of the gates. It has beautiful mountain views, 200 feet of Broad River waterfront, and all of this on a two acre lot. You will be amazed by the surrounding scenery when you step out the backdoor. The sounds of the rushing river will soothe your soul, and transport you to a place away from the busy pace of everyday life. This home is located 5.9 miles from the Beach at Lake Lure and 7.2 miles from Chimney Rock state park. It's also 14.9 miles away to the Tryon International Equestrian Center.

The Lake Lure/Chimney rock area is conveniently located for outdoor adventure including horseback riding and tubing; water sports and hiking; museums, theaters, the Biltmore estate and village; shopping and restaurants, and so much, much more.

​Near Lake Lure and Chimney RockLake Lure Beach, Chimney Rock and the home are all within 10 minutes. There are many Lake Lure water sport rental options, including pontoon boat tours. Chimney Rock State Park Village and Park are worth a visit. The park is a Blue Ridge Mountain favorite. There are many restaurants and unique shops. AREA WIDE NOTE: Lake Lure is undergoing a drawdown beginning January 1, 2024 and lasting through the first quarter (March 31, 2024). The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot per a day until it reaches 12 feet. During this time, infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dam projects will be accelerated. These efforts by the town of Lake Lure could affect the access to the lake or restrict any lake use. Click here for more information. The lake is expected to return to normal levels in mid-late April. We understand that this is an inconvenience but it allows you to enjoy Lake Lure's full beauty during the holiday season and fall. This will not affect smaller lakes in the region, only Lake Lure.

All of our vacation rentals are smoke-free. This home welcomes dogs (up to 2). To avoid additional charges, guests are required to clean after their pets. Riverbend at Lake Lure allows parking for up to two (2) vehicles inside the gated area, but not at the home. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. local or later. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. local or earlier.

NOTE: CANOE has been temporarily stored in the cabin, not next to the lake. The community has asked us to store them in the homes until a new storage area is built by the lake.
