Stiles Lake House is a modest exterior with a beautiful interior.

This modest single-level Lake Lure home with a lakefront location surprises with its large, well-appointed inside. You wouldn't guess that it was a three bedroom/2 bathroom home. It is perfect for a romantic escape or a peaceful, quiet getaway with friends and family. (Sorry, no pets allowed). This home is 2.8 mile to the Beach at Lake Lure. It's 4.1 mile to Chimney rock State Park and 16.4 miles away to the Tryon International Equestrian Center.

The dining room is a beautiful space with seating for four (plus four stools in the kitchen bar) and a comfortable sitting area. The living room is located beyond, with additional seating and a flat screen TV (basic channels) as well as a gas fireplace. Internet is available. The U-shaped kitchen makes up for its lack of size in cabinet storage space, while still providing the necessary full-size appliances: refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave.

The king-bed room has doors that open to the lakeside deck. This provides comfort and is a great way to start the day. The room has a comfortable club chair, and an adjacent full bathroom.

Two additional bedrooms have queen beds. There is a full bathroom and a laundry room in the hallway. This home can comfortably accommodate 6 people. The sofa or inflatable mattress can be used to accommodate additional guests.

The Outdoor Amenities Offer Additional Surprises

Rocking chairs on a covered front porch invite you to relax. The lakeside deck is furnished with a dining set, rocking chairs and a gas barbecue. Enjoy your meal or admire the beauty of the area on the upper-level deck of the boathouse.

Two kayaks are available for use in the boathouse. The dock is an ideal place to relax and dangle feet in the water, or to bring your boat on the lake.

Lake Lure Beauty Year-Round

This home is perfect in every season. In the spring, the trees and bushes on the shady lot and along the long drive begin to fill with leaves. The summer weather is generally great in the area. Autumn is a popular time to visit the area because of the spectacular colors. The colors are even more stunning when reflected in the lake. In winter, the absence of leaves will reveal a completely new landscape.

The Lake Lure/Chimney rock area and its surrounding communities offer so much, including shopping, restaurants, and outdoor adventures that you and your family will never forget. Amenities and Notes are just a few of the many amenities available.

The Lake Lure/Chimney rock area is conveniently located for outdoor adventure. This includes horseback riding, tubing and water sports, hiking and museums; the Biltmore Village and Estate; shopping and restaurants and more. It is only 15-minutes from Bat Cave, 35-minutes from Hendersonville, 50-minutes from Asheville and 2 hours from Charlotte. Pisgah National Forest, less than an hour away from Lake Lure, has more than 500,000 acres of protected forests. DuPont State Recreational Forest is also nearby (1.25 hours away from Lake Lure), with over 10,000 acres. These forests offer hundreds of miles worth of hiking, cycling, and horse trails. They also have beautiful mountaintop views, waterfalls, as well as breathtaking views. The Pisgah Forest is a great place to visit if you or your children are fans The Hunger Games. A scene with Katniss, Gale and other characters was filmed there. Several small but important scenes were also filmed in the DuPont State Recreative Forest.

AREA WIDE NOTE: Lake Lure is undergoing a drawdown beginning January 1, 2024 and lasting through the first quarter (March 31, 2024). The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot a day until it reaches 12 feet. During this time, infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dam projects will be accelerated. These efforts by the town of Lake Lure could affect the access to the lake or restrict any lake use. Click here for more information. The lake is expected to return to normal levels in mid-late April. We understand that this is an inconvenience but it allows you to enjoy Lake Lure's full beauty during the holiday season and fall. This will not affect smaller lakes in the region, only Lake Lure.

All of our vacation rentals are smoke-free. This home and property does not allow pets. Check-in is at 4:00 pm local time or later. Check-out is at 10:00 am local time.
