The Enchanted is an elegant log home situated in a private neighborhood on the east side Lake Lure. The peaceful, wooded setting is only minutes away from the beach, restaurants, and other activities in the area. This destination is sure to create lasting family memories (sorry no four-legged members). This home is 7.3 mile to the Beach at Lake Lure and 7.9 mile to Chimney rock State Park. It's 16.2 miles to Tryon International Equestrian Center.

The Enchanted is a great place to get some privacy. If you are planning to spend a weekend at the lake, Lake Lure Beach and Marina is not far. If you prefer to spend the day hiking, Chimney Rock State Park can be reached in less than 15 minutes.

Worthy of Log Home MagazineThe two-story great-room features beautiful wood floors, a stone fireplace with gas logs that reaches the ceiling, and locally-crafted furniture. The living room has a gas log fire place, comfortable seating, an oversized TV that can be viewed from the kitchen and a dining table. This home has many extra features that you don't find in a typical log home. It is quickly becoming one of our favorites. The library/reading room is surrounded by natural woods and curvy staircase railings. Above the living room, you will find a cozy loft that is open and bright. It has an office area with a workstation for those who need to stay on top of their work or business while still enjoying the beautiful area. This home has WI-FI.

The king-sized suite is spacious, luxurious and comes with a magical bathroom that anyone would love. It has many charming decorative touches. After a day of hiking, swimming or fishing, enjoy a relaxing soak.

The two bedrooms located on the upper floor will be appreciated by guests. The upper level has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with a queen-sized bed and a twin-sized bed. Between these two bedrooms is a full bath (tub/shower combo).

The cabin is surrounded by covered porches on the front and sides. Large glass doors and windows provide a peaceful view of the surrounding woods. The porch swing and extra large rockers will be a hit. The back deck is located off the dining/kitchen area. Guests can cook on the gas grill while listening to the sounds of nature.

If you like scenic drives, take Alt-US 74 out of Lake Lure (Memorial Highway). This road has 14 hairpin bends and runs through the Hickory Nut Gorge Communities of Chimney Rock Village and Bat Cave. Continue on towards Asheville and you will reach what many people consider the most beautiful road in the United States, the Blue Ridge Parkway. You should add this road to your bucket list if you haven't already.

Conveniently LocatedThe Enchanted is located about 10-15 minutes away from Lake Lure Beach and Chimney Rock State park. National Geographic Magazine ranked Lake Lure among the most scenic lakes in the entire world. Water sports (kayaks and wakeboards are available for rent, as well as boats and other vessels). There are pontoon tours on the lake.

Budget Travel magazine's Sept/Oct issue 2012 featured the iconic Chimney rock, after which both the village and State Park are named. The park was awarded the Platinum Award for Favorite State Park by Blue Ridge Country in its 2013 Best of the Mountains Travel Poll, which covers seven southern states of the Appalachian Mountains. Voting is done every five years. Nearby are several excellent golf courses, including Apple Valley Golf Course and Bald Mountain Golf Course. Etowah Valley Country Club & Golf Resort was rated by Golf Digest as one of the 50 best golf destinations in the US.

Only 20 minutes away from Bat Cave. 35 minutes to Hendersonville. 50 minutes to Asheville. About 2 hours to Charlotte, North Carolina. Pisgah National Forest, less than an hour from Lake Lure, has more than 500,000 acres of protected forests. DuPont State Recreational Forest, 1.25 hours from Lake Lure, has over 10,000 acres. These forests offer hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as horseback riding, beautiful waterfalls, mountaintop views, and more. The Pisgah Forest is a great place to visit if you or your children are fans The Hunger Games. A scene with Katniss, Gale and other characters was filmed there. A few small, but significant scenes have also been filmed in the DuPont State Recreative Forest.

The Lake Lure/Chimney rock area is a great place for outdoor adventures, including horseback-riding, tubing, watersports, hiking, museums and theater, as well as shopping, restaurants, and the Biltmore Estate. Click on our Local Area Guide for more information and activities.

AREA WIDE NOTE: Lake Lure is undergoing a drawdown beginning January 1, 2024 and lasting through the first quarter (March 31, 2024). The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot a day until it reaches 12 feet. During this time, infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dam projects will be accelerated. These efforts by the town of Lake Lure could affect the access to the lake or restrict any lake use. Click here for more information. The lake is expected to return to normal levels in mid-late April. We understand that this is an inconvenience but it allows you to enjoy Lake Lure's full beauty during the holiday season and fall. This will not affect smaller lakes in the region, only Lake Lure.
