Thistle Ridge, a stunning mountain lake house on Lake Adger, offers the splendor of magazine pictures! This home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a half bath. It can sleep up to eight people comfortably. This home offers some of the best views and sunsets in the area from its two large covered porches that face the lake.

Open concept living on the main floor with beautiful stone fireplace, hardwood flooring and a large master suite with king-size bed. The lower level features a super nice stained concrete floor and three additional bedrooms, including one with a King bed and a private bath, one with a King bed and a private bathroom, and another with two full-size beds and two twins. This level also includes a gathering space with a large fireplace and a hot tub on the back patio. On the back patio, there is a hammock and swing to relax and take in the views.

Relax and enjoy your stay at Lake Adger in comfort. This home is located 11.7 miles from Chimney Rock state park, 11 miles from the Beach at Lake Lure and 7.5 miles from the Tryon International Equestrian Center.

This home has two kayaks, a flat bottom boat, and a deep-water boat dock for you to use if you feel energetic and want a fun activity. A new 4-seater pedal boat is also available with a canopy. It's 124 stairs back to the house, which is a good workout. There are also many beautiful views to enjoy and stop to catch your breath. Lake Adger is rumored to have some great fishing!

Pisgah National Forest, less than an hour from Lake Lure, has more than 500,000 acres of protected forests. DuPont State Recreational Forest, 1.25 hours from Lake Lure, has over 10,000 acres. These forests offer hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as horseback riding, beautiful waterfalls, mountaintop views, and more. The Pisgah Forest is a great place to visit if you or your children are fans The Hunger Games. A scene with Katniss, Gale and other characters was filmed there. A few small, but significant scenes have also been filmed in the DuPont State Recreative Forest.

The Lake Lure/Chimney rock/Mill Spring area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including horseback-riding, tubing, water-sports, hiking, museums and theaters, the Biltmore Village and Estate, shopping, restaurants, and more.

AREA WIDE NOTE: Lake Lure is undergoing a drawdown beginning January 1, 2024 and lasting through the first quarter (March 31, 2024). The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot a day until it reaches 12 feet. During this time, infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dam projects will be accelerated. These efforts by the town of Lake Lure could affect the access to the lake or restrict any lake use. Click here for more information. The lake is expected to return to normal levels in mid-late April. We understand that this is an inconvenience but it allows you to enjoy Lake Lure's full beauty during the holiday season and fall. This will not affect LAKE ADGER, or the smaller Lakes in the area. Only Lake Lure.

All of our vacation rentals are smoke-free. This home and property does not allow pets. Parking for 3-4 vehicles. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. local or later. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. local or earlier.
