Property Description

Built by the island’s top custom home builder and decorated by its premier interior designer, One Palm Hill is stylish and comfortable. The elegantly decorated great room with stunning 24-inch tile floors has lounge seating for 6 and features a flat-screen satellite TV. The dining area can seat up to as many as eight at the table. Four more diners can be seated on stools at the kitchen counter. The fully equipped island kitchen features a gas range, stainless steel appliances, and decorative concrete counter tops. There is a laundry room off the great room with a washer and dryer. There is also a LPG generator which comes in handy here on Eleuthera.

One Palm Hill has three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath. Each bedroom also has a flat-screen cable TV. It’s furnished with a four-poster king bed. One guest suite is also furnished with a king. The other guest bedroom has twin beds that can convert to a king, as well as a day bed that can sleep a 7th guest. This guest bedroom’s en-suite bath can also be accessed from the hall. All bathrooms are elegantly finished in tile and tumbled marble. In addition to three bathrooms, there is an outdoor shower.

Outside the house has a wrap-around porch shaded by pergolas, a lovely spot for enjoying a drink, sunning, or grilling. Beside it is a beautiful new pool from which you can see the ocean at a distance.

Governors Harbor, the main town on the island is just two minutes away by car. Governors Harbor has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. . Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, and a medical clinic. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbor, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
