Property Description
Built in 1892, the beautiful River Run Inn is a five minute drive to historic downtown Salida, Colorado and sits on five country acres, overlooking the Arkansas River known to fishermen and rafters. There is 1/8th mile of private access on the lower side of the property where sitting or fishing is enjoyed. The mountain views and lush green ranch land lure the guests to the large front porch or cozy back porch that look out at manicured lawns. The three story brick victorian home has 6 nicely decorated bedrooms, all with their own baths, and a third floor dorm style room that can sleep 12, also with bath, totalling a sleeping capacity for a group of 25 people. The kitchen, dining room, and living room/library with TV are roomy and complete the warmth of the home. The Guests have the best of both worlds with the charm that country living offers, but close to very good restaurants, a cultural center known as the Stream Plant, numerous impressive art galleries, alluring antique stores and fun shops. The Salida area offers an array of outdoor activities: skiing, hiking, climbing 14er's, biking, fishing, rafting, golfing, horseback riding, soaking in nearby hot springs, visiting turn of the century ghost towns, and ATV riding. Salida has close proximity to other Colorado attractions such as The Great Sand Dune National Park, Aspen, Crested Butte, the Black Canyon and the Royal Gorge. The River Run Inn and the Arkansas River Valley together make for a wonderful and unforgettable vacation.
