KayaArm, a recently installed device on the dock provides stability and ease for kayaking or paddle boarding (available from local shops for rental drop-offs and pick-ups) to explore the Fripp marshes or canal. Dolphins have been spotted by guests, and they have also enjoyed fishing or crabbing right from the dock. Fripp Beach Access #29 can be found just a few steps from Solaia. Solaia's proximity to the beach means that you don't need to drive a golf cart and you won't need to carry beach gear to and fro the beach. If the family becomes hungry while on the beach, they can walk back to their house, wash off the sand with the outdoor shower at Solaia, and prepare a meal in the kitchen. Just a few steps away, you can continue to enjoy the beach. The water at Fripp Beach is so warm that you can swim and boogieboard for hours! You can also enjoy the spectacular sunrises and low country sunsets with ease. The screened porch is located at the back of the house and provides a cozy place to view if guests are unable to walk or don't wish to. The front porch has rocking chairs from which guests can enjoy the view of the ocean or the stars and the moon at night. Fripp is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts (including golfing and tennis). You will receive a 4-seater golf cart with your rental (except for monthly rentals). Many guests park their car upon arrival and use a golf cart as their primary mode of transportation. It's a great way of exploring the island and its natural beauty. After dinner, jump on the golf cart to head to the Food Court and get some ice-cream! Your rental includes up to 10 guest card with a maximum value of $500. These cards are needed to access all resort amenities including tennis and golf course, restaurants and bars and swimming pools. Guest cards provide exclusive access to discounted golf and tennis rates.
