Location, Location, Location: Beachview House is blessed with a fabulous location in the heart of the village/pier area — you can walk to most everything — close to amazing restaurants, great shopping, oceanside Neptune Park, the lighthouse, the theater, the library, and festival grounds. Within a block of the water and ocean views from the porch and living room. Or just sit back and relax on the porch and enjoy the weather and the view.


Vacation Rental Policies

Required Stay

Renting: Rates subject to change until a firm booking is made. Weekly minimum rental may be required. Review the availability calander and then contact us.

Other Fees

Rental policies: 50% deposit of base rent is due within 24 hours of booking, with a signed lease (faxed/scanned lease is OK). The rest of the money (rest of rent, dog fee, taxes, etc.) will be due 60 days before check-in. Dog fee is $45.00 per stay. Taxes are 11%. Stays of less than five nights require the addition of a cleaning fee. Review the Sample Lease and Sample Dog Addendum.

Last Minute Specials: If less than 30 days before a rental and the dates are available, special last-minute rates may apply.

Long-Term Special: From Labor Day to Feb 28, book at least a 60 day stay and receive 20% off the applicable rates.

Beachview House has 3 bedrooms, 4 baths, sleeps up to 9 people, has around 1500 SF of living space (on a single level), with a 330 SF porch. Rates/Specials: Review our rates and specials pages.

Photos / Virtual Tour: We have posted still photos and an interactive high-definition virtual tour of the house and surrounding community. You can zoom into each room and see incredible detail.

Pet Friendly: As with all of our rental properties, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Beachview House.

Historic Charm: The house retains much of its historic charm (Floorplan)- original hardwood flooring - great beadboard walls - even the original claw foot tub! It is furnished with many comfortable antiques and high quality upholstery - but it is designed to be a place to put your feet up and relax to the pace of life that is Saint Simons Island.

The History: Beachview House was built in 1892 on Cumberland Island as three cottages. In 1923, it was floated down the Atlantic and reassembled in its present location as one cottage on St. Simons Island - back then it was called the Gramling Cottage, after the family that had it in the 1920's. By the time it was started to be restored, it was so overgrown, that many folks didn't even know there was a cottage on the property.

Community Pool / Waterpark Update: The new community waterpark complex opened in May 2009. Very nice new facility just across the street.

BEACH RULES for Glynn County (from a Glynn County 2005 Publication):
Please Use a Beach Trash Receptacle or Carry Your Trash Off the Beach to a Dumpster
No Glass Containers

If your animal leaves more than prints in the sand, please pick it up and dispose of it in a trash receptacle!
Animals are prohibited on the beach from 9am to 6pm, Memorial Day through Labor Day. Please note that in 2012 a new ordinance was passed: there are no longer exceptions to this rule -- it applies to all beach areas
Exhibitors: Are you an exhibitor or craftsman or artist or dealer and are looking for accommodations, lodging or a place to stay for a festival such as the Sunshine Festival, one of the wonderful Antiques Shows, Arts and Crafts Festival, the Sea Island Festival, or any of the other festivals held in Neptune Park? Beachview House is literally across the street from the festival. You can't ask for a more convenient or comfortable place to stay!
