On one of the cleanest lakes in the Northeast, our year-round cottage is ready for your annual vacation or seasonal getaway. Come enjoy the unspoiled beauty of central Maine's 4.5 mile long Embden Lake. Our lakefront cottage is located in the picturesque mountains and offers superb fishing, swimming, and boating. A perfect retreat for an active and reflective vacation. Enjoy lobster from your private waterfront at your door step, or walk to small sandy beach, swim dock, and toddlers playground. Complementary equipment for canoeing, kayaking. We offer board games, a/v resources. The two-story cottage sleeps 8 in 4 upstairs bedrooms (cots available for extra guests) and has a full kitchen with breakfast area.
Sip coffee from the huge 8' x 24' screened porch just 10' from the water's edge. Relax in the extra large living room, back sun deck or private water's edge outdoor fire pit. Amenities include cable TV/VCR/DVD, stereo, dual gas heating systems, wood stove, microwave, new oven, coffeemaker, cook ware and linens, bath room w/ shower and abundant HOT water. No pets or smoking permitted. Moorings may be arranged at your doorstep. Dock not included, but may be arranged.
Area Activites:
Fine dining, antiquing, golf, snowmobile trails at the door, downhill skiing at Sugar Loaf USA nearby. Great x-country skiing. Hike in Carrabasset valley which includes the Sugarloaf and the Bigelow Mountain range. There are two great golf courses within a short drive --Sugarloaf USA is rated as one of the best in the East. Prime river rafting is a 30 minute drive. Hunters and sportsman alike will enjoy the abundant wildlife which includes deer, moose, bear and upland game. Work with a local registered Maine Guide to book your outdoor adventure. For the snowmobile enthusiast there are two major ITS trails to connect to through well groomed local club trails. Outlets and the Maine Coast under two hour drive.
Weekly rental rates are $600 October - May, $750 June and September, and $1000 Mid- June, July and August. Maine rental tax additional. Excellent discounts for multiseason renters. Checks payable to PR22. Weekend, corporate retreat, multiyear and large family (adjacent cabins) packages are available. We are 2 hours from Portland, Maine, 4 hours from Quebec, Canada and 4 hours from Boston, MA. Bangor International Airport is a 1.5 hour drive North, LL Bean is 1.5 hours South. Located near Skowhegan just off Rt 201 and Rt 16 on the way to Sugarloaf USA.

Activities and Special Interests
Great for families with kids 2 to 18. Watch the kids swim, canoe and fish outfront while you enjoy the screen porch. Toddler Playground 100 feet in back in Cottage, Small beach and huge swim dock about 100 yards along path. Winter X-C sking, skating, Snowmobiling, ATV trails, hunting offsite.
