Property Description

Chain of Lakes Cottage on Townline Lake is a private, clean, charming, Lakefront 3 Bedroom Cottage with a private Sandy Beach on an All-Sports, crystal clear, spring -fed lake with channels leading to five other lakes. This cottage is in a unique area because you are not confined to just one lake; all 5 lakes have easily accessible channels leading to other lakes, Sand Lake, Icehouse Lake, Boathouse Lake, Haven Lake, and Lost Lake) - "The Chain of Lakes".

Townline Lake (Chain of Lakes' deepest lake) is stocked yearly for exceptional fishing - Trout, Walleye, Perch, Bass, Jumble Bluegill, Bluegill, Catfish, Sun Fish, Pan Fish, Sheephead, and more. Repeat customers visit every year because of the fishing; and have told me that Chain of Lakes offers the best fishing they have ever seen. Several customers have caught 36" Northern Pike off our dock.

Swimming, Boating, Sailing, Fishing, Waterskiing, Jet Skiing, Tubing, Canoeing, Paddle boating, are all welcome on Chain of Lakes. There is quiet time on all lakes (no wake) from 7:30 pm until 11:00 am; giving fishermen their time to fish.

The lakes have a sandy bottom in several areas for Swimming; good fishing off private dock. Paddle Boat (seats 4 with cooler), and Row Boat included. Several public boat launches are available for launching your own boat.

The cottage is fully carpeted, sleeps 6 to 8 people; has a fully furnished kitchen with 2 separate dining areas and a separate snack bar; the living room includes fireplace, a dining area, a couch which opens up to a bed (sleeps 2), comfortable furniture for relaxing, HD TV with DVD & VCR, and large doorwall leading to the deck for lakefront viewing pleasure.

The deck, facing West, has a Gazebo (with screen), variety of deck furniture, large picnic table, and 2 charcoal grills. Enjoy a great view of the beach, entire lake, channels, spectacular sunsets, a variety of wildlife swimming by, and a beautiful Moon reflecting across Lake, while relaxing on the deck. There is a stone fire pit for campfires.

Undeveloped peninsular along channels has deer, loons, ducks, bald eagles, wild turkeys, etc. This area has been quoted in newspapers as being "the most beautiful area in Clare County with 20 Lakes in 20 minutes".

The cottage is centrally located for shorter day trips to other parts of Michigan; such as Mt. Pleasant Soar Eagle Casino, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Bridge, Mackinaw Island, Fort Michilimackinac, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Traverse City Cherry Festival, shopping in Petoskey, Bronners Christmas Wonderland (the World's largest Christmas store under one roof), Rogers City Gypsum Mines and a Tourist Center displaying fossils millions of years old and more.

Cottage is just 30 minutes north of Mt. Pleasant Soaring Eagle Casino.

Downtown Harrison (10 minutes from cottage) offers variety of attractions and events listed below, just to name a few:

Harrison offers great pizza, hard ice cream parlors, family and fine dining, great Italian and Chinese restaurants, fast food restaurants, Antique stores, Crafter's Market, weekend Flea Market, Gift shops, MacLean's Mercantile, Bowling, Horseback Riding, Historical Museum sites, and much more.

5 Golf Courses - Devil's Knob, Snow Snake has Zip Line, Firefly, Tamaracks, and Buck's Run

Putt R' Golf, Go-Karts, Arcade Room, Baseball Batting Cages

Classic Car & Bike Show, Cruise, Demolition Derby - Memorial Day weekend

Let your imagination run wild! I have guests who believe they are in Hawaii when they visit. Every year they put up their twinkling lights on the deck, dress in Hawaiian clothing, play Hawaiian music, relax under the Weeping Willow tree in their hammock while enjoying the tropical breeze and listening to sounds of the wind and water splashing up on the shoreline, while roasting a pig for their evening Lau with their family. Fun and unbelievable!!

Take the paddle boat, row boat, or hike thru woods with picnic lunch to visit two other public sandy beaches on Chain of Lakes, and more....
