Property Description

Coastwood

This house has a hot tub!

Put your worries away, pack your bags, and come find your fun escape at Coastwood, our

4-bedroom, 2.5-bath vacation rental situated in the midst of a majestic forest south of downtown

Fort Bragg. With a jacuzzi, game room, fully-equipped kitchen, firepit, home theater and more,

this vacation rental is ideal for up to 8 to 10 people.

Bring your family or friends and your best game face because you’re in for a treat! The Coast Wood is the perfect place to recharge, let your imagination take flight, and take on the kids in a game of air hockey or foosball.

In the living room, little ones will enjoy the selection of children’s books and classic board

games, while teens and adults will have fun choosing tunes on the sound system. Meanwhile,

the delightful Game Room offers a variety of entertainment options for guests, whether kids,

adults, or the young-at-heart. Relive your glory days with an authentic Pac-Man game or classic

Atari arcade games. For our cinema buffs, the home theater features a comfortable and

immersive experience (don’t forget the popcorn!).  The theater offers binge-watchers the opportunity

to stream their favorite shows to their hearts’content.

When you’re ready to brave the Great Outdoors, you can choose your own adventure: explore

the coast and discover your favorite beaches and trails, gather ‘round the firepit for s’mores, or

relax and enjoy the towering redwoods from the comfort of the hot tub.

Situated just a mile away from the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens and a few miles from

the Coastal Trail, Coastwood is a great gateway to all the region has to offer. Stock up on

supplies and your morning brew at Rollin’ Dough Baking Co before heading to your next

destination. Stop at Jug Handle (home to a secluded beach and the unique pygmy forest) or

Russian Gulch for a variety of hiking options, explore the spectacular botanical gardens, or

enjoy downtown Fort Bragg or Mendocino with their cute shops, delectable cuisine, and

impressive art galleries.

If you prefer the beach, you’re in luck: white sand beaches dot the coast, with Big River Beach

and Pudding Creek Beach being favorites of locals and visitors alike, while MacKerricher State

Park boasts a beautiful black sand beach and tide pools near the famed Boardwalk. For a

unique experience, visit Glass Beach, where the right tides reveal a glistening wonderland of

sea glass, shells, and tide pools.

A washer and dryer at the house ensure that no matter how far

you stray off the beaten path, you can always be fresh and ready for the next day’s adventures.

Of course, if you prefer quiet nights (and days) in, Coastwood will have you kicking back in

lavish comfort. Cook or bake to your heart’s content in the fully-equipped kitchen, where you

can also treat yourself to Afternoon Tea! The house comes with a tea set so that you and your

guests can enjoy refreshments (and treats) in style. Whether you break bread in the dining room

or around the firepit, you’ll create fantastic memories with your favorite people.

The 2.5 bathrooms mean you won’t have to draw straws for the shower or cut your soothing

bath short – you can relax and take your time. The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed

and an attached bathroom with shower and tub, as well as stunning views of the surrounding

forest. That bedroom opens onto a secluded patio. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed

and California-inspired decor. Two additional bedrooms are perfect for younger guests, with

bunk beds (each of which features a twin and a full mattress).

From first-timers to seasoned visitors to the Mendocino Coast, guests will love this property, the

perfect home base for your vacation. Whether you unlock your competitive side in the game

room, lounge in the hot tub, tell stories around the fire, or all of the above, Coastwood will

win your heart and enchant you and your guests with its breathtaking location and unique

amenities.

We had so much fun staying here. After getting settled, we felt like we could actually relax because of the welcoming environment. The property was beautiful and there was tons of wildlife nearby to enjoy (deer and birds). It was definitely kid friendly and had a lot for all of the kids to do (ranging from 4 to 12 in age). The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of bedding, as well as towels. We definitely want to stay here again

Great place to stay! This home was comfortable, clean and private. The kitchen was fully stocked, even with sharp knives. There was a pantry with room to put our kitchen items. The hot tub was ready to go and relaxing. The house looked like the pictures and kids loved the game room. The beds were also comfortable. We would return here in a heartbeat and our kids were bummed to leave this great home.

This was a peaceful and fun place to stay for the adults and kids! Everyone enjoyed playing and watching movies in the games room, being surrounded by the woods was so relaxing, the hot tub was perfect for soothing our achy muscles after hiking and boating, the kitchen had everything you would need and there was great communication when we needed something from our host. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Fort Bragg in the future! With 4 bedrooms and the games room there was plenty of room for the 6 of us!! I felt like our host cared about our comfort and are also very professional.

I stayed here with three adults and two kids (ages 4 and 6) in early Jan 2023. The stay was wonderful. Carlon and Stephen both checked in with me after local storms knocked out the power for a few hours. The power outage was understandable given the strong winds and rainstorms. Other highlights include the well-appointed kitchen; let me list a couple of the amenities: coffee grinder; complete sets of Tupperware; kiddo plates; waffle iron; pancake griddle. We had a wonderful time making family dinners. We also saw deer and a family of turkeys from the house, during our stay. Very close to Ft Bragg, accurate description. Would stay at a Pacific Blue property in the future.

My family does our family trip every year for Thanksgiving and finding a place that has things for our youngest member (5yrs) to our oldest (72yrs) is not always easy. This place ticked all the boxes. Ample parking- Check Room and beds for everyone- Check Kitchen for Thanksgiving Feast- Mostly Check(little tight if multiple cooks) And most important... Activities to keep everyone busy while the rest cook- Check Check The Game room is the highlight of this listing. It's away from the house (in garage) so you don't wake the house if you're up late. And games for everyone, siblings, parents, aunts and uncles, everyone.

Carlon in the Ft Bragg office was friendly and helpful, enjoyed being able to talk to a local person.

Property
Excellent. It was a perfect house for our family with 3 children; it was a bit remote but so well appointed and the game room was ideal. The family also enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Easy access to the many sites and activities in Ft. Bragg.

Amazing gem! Stress free. All we had to worry about was our food. The house had all the necessary appliances, and cooking necessities. The detached entertainment room gave the kids somewhere to go to keep the house nice and quiet. Perfect little spa and 3 bathrooms made the 9 of us comfortable and stress free. Look forward to using again.

This was (by far) my favorite Air B&B stay yet! From the hone theater and game room, to the fire pit, to the sweet deer that visited this quiet place, our stay was perfection! EVERYTHING was thought of! I neglected to ask about accessibility after a recent foot injury resulted in surgery which made some of the extras like the hot tub inaccessible for me, but my family took full advantage and I got some quiet time (like REALLY quiet perfection) time to read. This place was truly a dream!

What a wonderful home! It looks exactly as it is shown in the pictures. The entire process was seamless and Carlon was easy to contact to answer the additional questions. It is in a great location. We stayed here 4 days and 3 nights in preparation for our wedding at The Skunk Train. There was ample space for our family and the detached game room is a perfect addition. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend that you stay here, too!

This is such a great family friendly space! We came with our 3 adult daughters and their families. It was so nice that bedrooms are spread out and game room is separate from the house. We enjoyed the fire pit area and hot tub every night! My 4 year old grandson loved picking out books for bed and playing the many games provided. My husband got lost in some old school video gaming and showed the youngsters how to play. We loved how the property is tucked away at the end of the road it feels like a real get away. Yet super easy access to all of our favorite places. We are planning to make this our family tradition.

We had a great stay at Coastwood. After we had to leave our first Airbnb early (power outage killed the water heater and we were going to be without hot water for potentially several days), we were so grateful to find Coastwood. This is a brand-new rental, and we experienced one or two issues as could be expected but Carlon and the Pacific Blue team took care of everything - quickly and professionally. And the issues quickly became non-issues. I was very impressed! They get good reviews for a reason - they deserve them! Carlon was easy to communicate with, kind, and super responsive. The house had everything we needed and then some. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the baking and cookware you might need. We made muffins, pancakes, and pizza. There's even a crockpot, electric griddle (or gas griddle on the stove), and roasting pan. The house also has a great outdoor grill, electric tea kettle, and toaster. I also really appreciated having space to put our food away in the pantry and in the refrigerator/freezer. Coastwood is well set-up for families - My nine-year old son had a blast in the game room and loved sleeping and hanging out in a bunk bed for the first time. There are toys and books for kids, including younger kiddos, and a nursing chair! Lots of great drawer space to put your clothing and enough hangers in the closets too. The washer/dryer was so nice to have, and the hot tub was awesome after a long day hiking. Speaking of hiking - Coastwood is in a fantastic location, just south of Fort Bragg by the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden. We spent our time exploring the Noyo Headlands (check out the really cool Noyo Center for Marine Science - Crow's Nest Interpretative Center) and hiked Belinda Point, just across Route 1. We went to the Botanical Gardens several times since we were so close and also MacKerricher and Glass Beach. We took a great hike in Jug Handle State Reserve which was less than 10 minutes from Coastwood. We'd love to stay at Coastwood again and can't recommend Pacific Blue highly enough!
