FISHING

The most recent ecological study of Palmer Lake in 2011 demonstrated 27 species of fish in our warm clear lake. The 448-acre lake is connected to Long Lake by a mile-long channel. Largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, carp, northern pike, crappie, perch, and more can be found here year-round. Palmer Lake was known state-wide for its frequent bass contests. Colon Bait Shop has a wide variety of worms, minnows, and tackle as well as expert advice. We also have a small bait shop on premises for convenience. Our territory includes a fish cleaning station to keep your cabins smelling fresh!
