Property Description

As a cherished, family friendly property located on CR 30A just past the world famous Indian Pass Raw Bar, Otter Cove is a sportsman’s paradise. Located on the shore of Indian Pass Lagoon and just a quick drive to the boat ramp and public beach access at Indian Pass (less than 3 miles).

The front entrance and driveway area offer you plenty of room to park your boat and vehicles. The space is so prosperous, fishermen are rewarded the luxury of having drive-thru access to pull their boats in and out under the house.

Entering the home through the kitchen, you are welcomed by all of the love and attention the owners have lavishly provided. The most admirably interior feature, are the brand new, vintage French oak wood floors. Refinished kitchen and bathroom cabinets, along with fresh paint throughout the entire home.

The kitchen is equipped with all brand new Frigidaire appliances and fully stocked with everything you can think of. A drawer dedicated to your little ones holds all the kid friendly basics. The antique dining room credenza stores a variety of bar tools to whip up your favorite cocktail. An industrial style dining table seats six, with two additional seats available at the butcher block island.

From the great room area, double doors open to a brand new, screened in back porch with bar top dining to accommodate four, and plantation rockers to enjoy the expansive views of the Indian Pass golden marshes. Sunrise and sunset views are breathtaking from this area. If you are lucky, you may get to see the otters playing in the pond, hence the naming of Otter Cove. A variety of bird species, rabbits, frogs, and fiddler crabs are daily visitors on the property as well.

The living room is complete with all new, designer furnishings, a 50” Samsung Smart TV and Blu-Ray player, fishing library for the outdoorsmen and games for all ages. The closet under the stairs stores a diverse collection of DVDs, and an accommodating stock of children necessities that include toys, books, pack-n-play, high chair, etc.

Also located on the first floor are two bedrooms and a full bath. The first bedroom sleeps two with a queen bed, full size dresser, and an average size closet with built-in storage shelving. The second bedroom sleeps three with a queen and twin bed. This room offers a small chest of drawers, and large closet with ample storage space. A hall closet opens to a Maytag front loading washer and dryer with a built-in counter and storage shelving.

As you make your way upstairs, to your left, is a cozy reading nook. The second floor offers a size-able and airy master bedroom with full bath. This bedroom comfortably sleeps two with a queen bed, an antique chest of drawers, plus a substantially sized his and hers closet with mahogany built-ins and wood flooring. An alcove, just off the master, has an additional twin bed and large window that captures the best view of the house.

Otter Cove History: The real staple of the home was the cherished water wheel house. Each churn of the water wheel displayed a true labor of love, as it was creatively built from scratch in 2014 by a very beloved father and papaw. Sadly, Hurricane Micheal swept away our landmark, but the young grandson of its founder has plans to rebuild in the near future.

In a variety of unique ways, every room throughout the home has meticulously selected, sentimental touches incorporated by the owners to preserve and share the memory of their loved one who deeply treasured every aspect of the home and its surroundings. Faith, joy, solitude, reflection, fellowship, and love contribute to the spirit that resides within Otter Cove.
