Discover Northern Comfort, a beautiful 4-bedroom log home set on the peaceful shores of Twin Ponds, just 2.5 miles from downtown Old Forge, NY. Perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a serene retreat, this home features rustic cedar and log furnishings, giving it a warm, inviting feel. The spacious great room is adorned with knotty pine walls, ceilings, and a stunning stone propane fireplace – the perfect relaxing setting. The custom, fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops and opens into the dining area. A fully screened-in covered porch adds additional living space. On the main floor there are two bedrooms: one with a queen bed and the other with full-size bunk beds along with a full and ½ bath. Additionally, a washer and dryer are located on the main floor for convenience. A beautiful knotty pine staircase leads up to an open loft, which features a king-size log bed, a cozy sitting area, a full bath and a deck with breathtaking views of the pond and mountains. The finished lower level includes a family room with a corner propane fireplace, an additional bunkroom with twin bunk beds, and a walk-out basement. Situated on Upper Twin Pond, a tranquil non-motorized lake, the property offers serenity and stunning natural surroundings.
Winter in Upstate New York offers diverse outdoor activities, especially in the Adirondack towns of Old Forge, Inlet, and Eagle Bay. Enjoy skiing at McCauley Mountain or cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Fern Park and Adirondack Woodcraft Camps.
