Breckenridge’s annual Oktoberfest features Bavarian cuisine, rich German brews and plenty of toe-tapping, thigh-slapping oompah music.
The weekend-long party kicks off with the prestigious Paulaner Brewmaster’s Dinner, followed by a lively party on Main Street, with traditional costumes, German food and music, Bavarian dancers, children’s activities, a keg-tapping ceremony, 5k run and, of course, Paulaner bier.
The Paulaner Brewmaster’s Dinner, a gourmet multi-course dinner, is held on Friday evening. Enjoy a multi-course meal elegantly paired with European biers and alternate wines.
There is limited seating and the dinner has been a sold out event the last four years. It is a great evening of food, new friends and the perfect kick off to an amazing Oktoberfest celebration dinner.
On Main Street, the party gets under way on Friday. Then the fun starts again on Saturday with the fun continuing right through evening. The Main Street Party features more than two dozen food vendors.
The party gets going again on Sunday morning with the Street Party. Sunday’s party is a bit more laid back, family oriented, but still a whole lot of fun.
You don’t have to be German to enjoy Oktoberfest, just come ready to enjoy some great beer, food, dancing and people. Close to 50,000 people come to Breckenridge, Colorado for this annual celebration.
